We had fun learning about children from all over the world.  We learned about foods they eat and games they play.

We dressed as farmers in honor of our custodians on Custodian Appreciation Day.  We are very thankful for the hard work they do each day so our school doesn't look like a pig pen.

Welcome to Mrs. Box's Class!

I am so excited about this school year. We have had a great start so far. I can't believe this first week of school is over. Its gone by quickly. My feet hurt and my voice is scratchy. It takes me a few days to get my school body back on! This week we have worked very hard on learning our class procedures, getting to know each other better, making new friends, and learning all about the Daily 5. The first component of the Daily 5 is Read to Self. The students started the week out reading quietly to themselves for three minutes. We are building our reading stamina and ended the week by reading for 10 minutes!! What an accomplishemt! I am so proud of my students. We also reviewed addition and subtraction facts and did some beginning of the year assessments. I really look forward to working with my students this year. They are an awesosme group of kiddos. Christmas Party Time!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thanks so much for everyone that helped in some way with our party. The students seemed to have a great time. We also were blessed by their sweet singing at Richland Assisted Living. The residents really seemed to enjoy our caroling.
