Class Happenings
On Monday, August 30, Mrs Starnes' class from Portland High School came to visit JWW. They came dressed as different characters and shared information about each one. We all enjoyed the program, and want to thank them for coming to share thier talents with us.
We will be going to PHS to see them on October 29th for our Second Grade Field Trip. They will be putting on a play for us and we will also be going to Bottomview Farms for some ice cream. We will not be having a Halloween Party that day.

Here's Bugwuggy!
I want you to meet Bugwuggy. He gets to go on some grand adventures with the students. He watches during the day, and goes home with students who have really done their "buggy best". I know some of you have already taken Bugwuggy on some super fun trips. If you haven't yet, keep up the great job and I know he'll go home with you soon. You must always take special care of him and be sure to bring him back to school the following day. Have fun with Bugwuggy!!

All About Our Busy Summer
I wanted to share with you about our summer vacation. We were very busy at the beginning of summer with baseball. Both of the boys made all-star, Cade in 7-8 and Cullen in 5-6. We had to be in different places at the same time. It was difficult at times, but I wouldn't trade those moments and memories for anything in the world. We had a blast. After ball season was over, we went on a Mission Trip with our chuch. We went to the Tennessee Baptist Boys Ranch in Millington. We were there for a week, and while we were there the heat index got to 121! The boys and I spent the week painting 5 different trailors. We still had paint on us for about two weeks after the trip. Chad spent the week building a chicken coop. Ranch life is certainly hard, but what a blessing to serve on the mission field. I have a new heart for mission work after that week. You can see from the pictures we had fun this summer!
