Here's Norah!
I can't believe I have been back to work since October and I have not shown you a picture of my sweet baby girl. Here are some other family pics too. Enjoy!
It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!!
Check out some of our writings on the wall. These stories tell about how Ruldolph's nose wasn't red, it was a crazy color. We are currently working on Christmas poetry. Check back soon to see those.
Thanksgiving Feast and Plays
We had a wonderful time feasting with the other 2nd grade classes. The meal was very tasty. We tried cornbread, pumpkin pie, popcorn, lima beans, jerky and cranberries. Thanks to everyone who shared in our feast.
The students did a wonderful job in our Thanksgiving plays...Celebrating Thanksgiving Past and Presetn. One play was the story of Squanto helping the pilgrims learn to live on new land. The other play was one about the foods eaten for Thanksgiving arguing over who was the best.
Thanks to all who came and watched. I hope you enjoyed it.

Halloween Party
We had a great time at our Halloween Party. We had four stations: food, story, dough ghosts, and Halloween safety. Thanks to those parents who helped send in items and work stations.

Fall Break for the Box Family
Our family was very busy over the break. We went to Louisville to the Louisville Slugger Museum, Zoo and fun eating places. We also went to see one of our favorite bands, Kutless back in our hometown. The boys got autographs and a picture with the band. I also had another nephew born so we made a trip to meet him.

Welcome back to school!!
It was great to see all of my students today. We had a wonderful first day back and I know I have the best 2nd grade class. Here are a few things to know about for the coming days and weeks.
* Please be sending in money to vote for our class king and queen for the PTO Fall Ball. Our class chose Luke and Sydney to represent us. The class with the most money raised will get an ice cream party and the
the overall winners will be crowned at the Fall Ball this Saturday.
* Fall Ball is this Saturday from 5 to 7 pm. There will be a costume contest, haunted hallway, dancing, and food. Don't miss out on this spooky fun and raising some money for our school.
* Fall book reports are due October 31st. Don't wait until the last minute to get started. Let me know if you need to borrow a fall book.
* Halloween parties will be on Monday, October 31st at 1:30. We will have stations that will rotate around. They are food, craft, Halloween safety, and story. Look for a note to come home later this week for information and volunteer sign ups.
* Red Ribbon Week is next week. Our school is collecting canned food items for donation. You can begin sending those in anytime. There will also be dress up days. Check the newsletter for more information.
From now until Christmas is a very busy time. Check back often for updates and be sure to check the weekly newsletter to stay on top of things.

We love Ms. Moss!!
Ms. Moss, our student teacher, had her last day with us on May 4. She did such an amazing job while she was here. We gave her a going away/graduation celebration with cookies and juice boxes. We certainly do miss her.
Our field trip was a blast!!
Gracie and Beth Ann are so excited to see African Cats.
After the movie, we went to Gallatin Fire Station. We learned a lot.
We had time for a crazy pic!
Man that gear sure was heavy. I really appreciate what the firemen do for us each day.
We all took turns spraying the hose. What fun!
Evan sprayed the hose up high and got everyone wet including himself. We had to style his hair.
What an awesome group of second graders!
My class was great on the trip!
After the firestation, we went to the park for lunch and playtime on the playground. Unfortunately, Cade fell after being on the playground just a few minutes and broke his arm. I had to rush him to the hospital and into surgery. He is doing much better now, but what a field trip!!
