The new pelican exhibit was my favorite.  How do they stand on one leg for so long? Do you know how pelicans get their color?  Its from the food they love to eat...shrimp.

Welcome Ms. Moss!

Our class wants you to meet Ms. Jodi Moss.  She is a student teacher from Middle Tennessee State Universtiy.  She will be with us in our class until May 4.  We are so excited to have her, and we know she will do such an amazing job. 

It's Read Across America Day!

What an exciting day at JW Wisemaan!  Portland's radio station broadcast live from our school and we had reeaders from each grade level read on the radio.  Students got to dress up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character.  We also had guest readers throught the day.  We ended the day with a parade.  K-2 students paraded their costumes, while 3-5 students were each dressed as a vocabulary word.
