Christmas Party Time!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thanks so much for everyone that helped in some way with our party. The students seemed to have a great time. We also were blessed by their sweet singing at Richland Assisted Living. The residents really seemed to enjoy our caroling.

Fall Book Reports

My class did an amazing job with their fall book reports. Norah was sick that day and Ms. Laurie took pictures for me. She was so impressed with their reports.

Classroom Happenings

Our class has read some really great stories so far this year. We read one story about Henry and Mudge going camping. We talked about character and setting during that time. We shared our camp story around the lantern and had some yummy smores. We also read a nonfiction story about the desert. We read about the Saguaro cactus and the prickly pear fruit. We tasted some prickly pear candy. You can see from the pics some didn't like it. We are having a wonderful time in 2nd grade!

JWW Dancing With The Stars

We had a wonderful time at the Dancing With The Stars party. The students that completed their summer packets got a ticket to the dance party. A fun time was certainly had by all. Your don't want to miss the fun next year. Check out some of the crazy pics!

PHS Speech Team Visits JWW

Today our school had the Portland High School Speech Team bring their wax museum presentation. We learned about lots of characters like Shrek, Hercules, The Flintstones, and Bill Nye just to name a few. They did a wonderful job. Thanks PHS!

I am anxiously awaiting the start of our new school year. I am so very excited after meeting all of my students and their parents on registration night. We are going to have an awesome year!
